fertbook has continued to evolve now with an app (available on Google Play and Apple App Store) which is a welcome addition to the already super popular fertbook web fertiliser booking system.

The Driver Module is designed to speed up a key bottleneck in the fertiliser distribution chain and delivers a platform that suits the driver and transport operator. fertbook is developed around simplicity, ease of use and improved load out and turnaround time.
Once the dealer sends the booking number to the driver, they simply open the app when they are within 5km of the site, input the booking number and the volume and all the relevant information will populate, alerting the driver to the product and alerting the site that the truck has arrived. This also minimises the chance of errors over UHF with the wrong booking number or wrong product being despatched.
The driver can then use the app to advise the site of product drop points to ensure they are compliant with weights and so that the load can be distributed as requested. The app is linked to the NHVR (National Heavy Vehicle Register) meaning it already knows the various trailer combinations and allows the driver to select the combination they are using, again saving time.
Mr Ramsey said all of this happens without the driver having to leave the cab, ensuring they are through the site in the most safe and efficient way.
