DLF Seeds Australia has announced the appointment of Jason Agars as its new General Manager, effective May 15. He will take over from John Stewart, who announced his retirement earlier in the year.

Mr Agars is the current DLF Seeds national sales and marketing manager, and an experienced agribusiness executive who joined the company in 2019 after working with CopRice for ten years.

“It’s a privilege to be given the opportunity to lead this team of passionate, skilled and knowledgeable people at DLF Seeds,” Mr Agars said. “There’s much energy within the business to continuously find ways to exceed our customers’ expectations and expand our leadership position through science.

“Since 1938 we have been developing innovative pasture varieties that make a real difference in Australian agriculture, and I look forward to building on this reputation. It’s an exciting time in agriculture and the role that DLF Seeds can play today and into the future.”

Welcoming him to the role, Mr Stewart said, “I wish Jason and DLF Seed’s leadership team every success in their continued pursuit of improved seed varieties and related innovations for Australia’s agricultural community.”
