Joining Elemental Enzymes at the beginning of February 2023 as field development lead APAC and EMEA, Chad Sayer will work throughout Australia, New Zealand and Asia, plus look after the EU, Africa and Middle East regions.

His role is to coordinate and develop Elemental Enzymes product development throughout the region, organising scientific and regulatory trials, demonstrating the technology, and providing technical support. That will entail arranging a large amount of field trial work and analysing and collating results.

From a family farm in WA, Mr Sayer completed an Associate Diploma in Farm Management and Bachelor of Business in Ag at Curtin University (Muresk) before joining IAMA in sales and branch management, then many years as in-field agronomist, eventually running their field-trial program across the state.

Mr Sayer then joined Crop Care technical development, followed by a position as R&D field officer for Nufarm in WA.

He then relocated to Melbourne to nationally co-ordinate the company’s herbicide and cereal fungicide development. Of Chad Sayer’s 23 years at Nufarm, the past 18 had been in the Nufarm Global team, managing global developments in the field and in formulation.

Mr Sayer says agriculture is an exciting industry, with technology really enabling the industry further. “It’s very satisfying finding ways to help farmers improve productivity and profitability.”

Attracted to Elemental Enzymes by the technology and science behind both the company and its people, Mr Sayer said he believes the work it is doing is critical to the future of agriculture.

"The ability to tap into working with nature, the plant and the soil, and maximising natural abilities and capacities is the way of the future. It’s the next likely production jump for growers, while also addressing the increasing desire for more environmentally and sustainable ways of doing this.

“The amazing range of products being commercialised and in development at Elemental Enzymes make it a real fun place to work.”
