For more than two decades Kenso Agcare has been continuing to build on its commitment to providing quality crop protection products for Australian growers.

Kenso’s national horticulture manager, Luke Testoni says the future is bright for this family-owned company.

“We have had a number of new registrations and label extensions over the past 12 months, which continue to add value to our market and strengthen our product portfolio.

“One of Kenso’s most recent additions to its range of products is Procyon Gold. A co-formulation of prothioconazole and tebuconazole, Procyon Gold plays a vital role in the control of numerous diseases in key winter cereals and canola crops.

“Always a hot topic when the cold starts to bite is fungicides. Do we, or don’t we? This is quite often the question asked at this time of year as crops are up and running and farmers look to do everything that they can to protect their hard work and ensure their yields are maximised come harvest.

“A daily look at the weather forecast, chats over the fence with neighbours and deeper conversations with agronomists will almost always result in growers looking for that added piece of mind, especially if the weather takes a turn.

“The last few seasons have seen some suppliers running out of their key fungicides and the feedback we get is that reputation of brand names is usually at the forefront of the decisions for a grower to buy one product over another.

“As we continue to expand our offering in this segment it is satisfying knowing our brand is trusted by resellers and growers alike… When it comes to fungicides, Kenso has you covered.”

Mr Testoni said with 21 products in its arsenal, Kenso really does have you covered. Key fungicides in broadacre cropping include Avior Gold (azoxystrobin/epoxiconazole), Epoxy 750 WG (epoxiconazole) as well as Propi Super 500 (propiconazole) and Rebuke (tebuconazole).

“In horticulture, there are also plenty of options available. Mainstay fungicides include sulphur, Kencozeb (mancozeb), Avior 250 Sc and Avior 800 WG (aAzoxystrobin), Castor 900 WG (Chlorothalonil), Ken-Phos (phos acid) and Pavo 250 (pyraclostrobin).

“Kenso is also excited about the soon to be released range of copper products that include both a Tribasic liquid and hydroxide formulations.”

However, Mr Testoni said Kenso isn’t about to sit on its hands.

“We are always listening to our customers and if they are telling us that there is a gap in the market then we will look at ways to fill that gap.

“Currently, we are working on 20 new products to bring into our range and most, if not all of these are off the back of conversations with our customers. Our production is undertaken from state-of-the-art manufacturing ISO accredited facilities in Pulau Indah Malaysia and our access to raw materials is impressive to say the least,” he said.
