It’s been an exciting few months for recruitment and role changes at Nufarm Australia.

Over in the west, they’ve successfully recruited Sarah Woolford as the West Australian regional manager.

Sarah Woolford.

Ms Woolford has a strong background in the agricultural industry, having recently joined the National Farmers Federation Diversity in Agriculture Leadership Alumni and been appointed as the Barley Council member for the Grain Industry Council of WA.

Most recently she has held the position of national business development manager for FBN, and prior to this she held roles such as the commercial manager for Craig Mostyn, accumulations lead and product developer for CBH and Grain Services and corporate broker with Grain Brokers Australia.

Nufarm’s former West Australian regional manager Wade Groth has taken on a newly created role of key account and influencer manager (KAIM).

This new role was developed to help drive a regional growth agenda, by maximising the delivery of Nufarm’s customer value proposition with a defined group of regional key accounts, and leading engagement with priority influencers and grower groups. This new position is part of continuous improvement of Nufarm’s Go-To-Market model.

Similarly, Nufarm have created a KAIM role for their Victorian/Tasmanian region and the position has gone to Jane Winter-Irving. Ms Winter-Irving started with Nufarm in 2018 as a graduate trainee, before moving into a business development manager role in 2019. She has progressed through the company and now taken on the KAIM role.

There’s also more fresh talent coming into Nufarm Australia with the addition of two graduates through their commercial graduate program.

Alice Bertram and Lucy Mychael will spend 12 months rotating through commercial aspects of the business, gaining a greater understanding of Nufarm Australia.

Commercial general manager Nufarm Australia Peter O’Keeffe said the graduate program is a way to nurture and attract the freshest talent and get them involved in Nufarm Australia early in their career.

“Having the best talent at Nufarm is one way we can deliver the best service to our customers,” Mr O’Keeffe said.

“We’re very fortunate to not just be attracting great staff but also retaining incredibly valuable team members and progressing them through the company.”
