Leading fertiliser manufacturer, Yara Australia, has announced the appointment of Chris McClarron and Paul Crack as new regional sales managers for Queensland/Northern NSW and Victoria/Tasmania, respectively.
They join Jason Brady and Paul Eitzen, who have responsibility for Western Australia/Northern Territory and South Australia/Southern NSW, respectively.
Chris McClarron has more than 20 years of experience in horticultural production, quality assurance and supply chain management in the UK, Europe, Israel and Australia.
Graduating with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Leeds in 2002, Mr McClarron spent 12 years in a series of field, agronomy and technical roles with a major horticultural packing house and processor in the UK.
Along the way, he completed his Master of Science degree, majoring in agronomy and crop protection, from Harpers Adam University in 2013.
He emigrated to Australia soon afterwards and took up a position as technical and supply manager with Thomas Foods International, a leading producer and exporter of premium Australian produce.
He managed the company’s potato growing and packing operations in the Riverland, Mallee and Coonawarra regions for five years before establishing a farm management and supply chain consultancy.
Paul Crack is a highly accomplished sales and marketing professional with more than 25 years experience in the agricultural industry.
For the past decade, he has worked as national sales manager with Bayer Environmental Science (since divested as Envu Australia) and a Victorian business manager with Bayer Crop Science.
He has consistently demonstrated his acumen in new business development, sales, marketing and key account management.
During his time with Bayer, Mr Crack was recognised with global and national awards for commercial excellence in 2020 and 2017, respectively.
Prior to Bayer, he held senior sales or territory management roles with Challenge Implements, Landmark, Landmark AWB and Roberts Ltd.
He holds an Advanced Diploma of Project Management from Federation University and a Diploma of Agronomy from Longerenong College.
Yara Australia country manager, Tim Erbacher, said the appointments will further improve the company’s service delivery to channel partners and customers.
“This regional structure will enable each manager to make decisions that best meet the needs of their channel partners and customers without unnecessary layers of bureaucracy,” he said.
“Our goal is to create strong and profitable relationships that deliver genuine value for our key accounts.”
