Crucial is on track to be the biggest product ever in its market segment for 2024.

Nufarm celebrated the success of Crucial in the Australian market recently with a trip to the region where it all kicked off.

Commercial general manager of Nufarm Australia, Peter O'Keeffe expressed his excitement by visiting Glenn Bryant from Mullewa Farm Supplies, who played a pivotal role in the product’s success story.

"We are incredibly proud of Nufarm Crucial reaching this level of success.

“It highlights the innovation and dedication of our local team, and the unwavering support of Australian farmers, retailers, and agricultural advisors.

“Crucial’s journey, from its inception to becoming the all-time market leader, is a testament to Australian ingenuity and resilience," Mr O’Keeffe said.

“Glenn Bryant, of Mullewa Farm Supplies, placed the first truckload order of Crucial in January 2020, marking Mullewa as ‘ground zero’ for Crucial.”

Mr Bryant and his growers have shown remarkable loyalty and commitment, supporting Crucial for the past five years, despite the challenging farming conditions in their region.”

This is particularly impressive given that Crucial is an Australian invention, manufactured in Australian facilities, competing against cheaper formulations and products made overseas.

A recent survey by Grain Growers highlighted that the reliability of crop protection supply in Australia was a concern for farmers. Grain Producers Australia and the National Farmers Federation have also been vocal about the need for Australian farmers to have supply sovereignty and reduce their reliance on overseas suppliers.

"We want to thank Australian farmers, retailers, and advisors for their unwavering support of Crucial," Mr O'Keeffe continued.

"Their backing has helped bolster Australian formulation ingenuity and manufacturing, enabling not only world firsts like Crucial, but other important commercial realities like Nufarm Dropzone and CanDo. Every time you choose Nufarm, you help keep Australian solutions for uniquely Australian problems, viable."

Mr Bryant said ordering Crucial was an easy decision for him and he could see how well it would serve his customers.

“When Nufarm released Crucial our growers were keen try the improved formulation,” he said.

It mixes well with phenoxies and Terrad’or and has a wide range of registrations and label use; pre sowing, in crop, pre harvest and in fallow spraying and Crucial also has registrations for optical spot spraying.”
