Crop Smart has appointed Sam Hole as new chief executive from April 1.
Sam joins Crop Smart after a long career with Syngenta, where he has held roles including head of specialty crops, head of sales and marketing and most recently as commercial director for the past seven years.
Sam is a trained agronomist and has worked in numerous agronomy and leadership roles across the agriculture sector in Australia.
His ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and industry partners has been a hallmark of his leadership and a key contributor to his success.
Sam's background and experience leading diverse teams, across cities and the country, makes him ideally suited to leading Crop Smart at a time of rapid growth.
With his extensive industry knowledge and a strategic mindset, combined with a deep affinity and understanding of Australian farming communities, Sam is ready to lead Crop Smart through its next chapter.
Crop Smart’s current chief executive and founder, Matt Durden, will move into a newly created role of executive chairman.
“Crop Smart continues to evolve rapidly, and now is the right time to bring in the next generation of leadership,” Matt says.
“Sam is the ideal person to lead our team and capitalise on the exciting opportunities ahead for both our business and the broader industry.”
