Gallagher has again bolstered its ranks to keep up with demand for its growing range of products with the appointment of two new territory managers with strong ag backgrounds.
James McNaughton has been involved in agriculture all his life.
Growing up on a farm near Geelong, he moved across the border to Holbrook to continue farming before purchasing his father's property. He left farming in 2009 to purchase a meat wholesale retail business.
Since 2019, Mr McNaughton has been involved with graziers and other farmers, helping design efficient yards and work areas, implementing animal handlers, and offering advice on collecting animal data.
Gallagher is an industry leader in its commitment to better farming, and Mr McNaughton is very pleased to be a part of the team.
Charlie MacDougall grew up in Corndale, north of Lismore. Beginning work in the Northern Rivers on a mixed-enterprise farm (macadamias, cattle, and coffee), it was only natural he continued in the agricultural industry, choosing to follow his father’s footsteps in rural merchandise.
Having started in rural retail industry with no sales experience, Mr MacDougall worked his way up to merchandise manager within three years, soaking up every detail and piece of information to ensure his customers had the support they needed.
He brings Gallagher a wealth of experience in the rural reseller industry, understanding how important it is to know the person on the other end of the phone and having a vested interest in making sure the product is the right fit for the customer.
Of particular interest to him is the evolution of technology in primary industries and being on the Gallagher side of ensuring all information and advice is up to date.
If he’s not packing in the front row at rugby, you can probably find Mr MacDougall hitting the tracks exploring what the country has to offer.
