Over the last few seasons SLTEC Fertilizers – a leading manufacturer of fluid fertiliser and bio-stimulants servicing Eastern Australia, has been expanding its manufacturing capability and product reach.

The company’s organisational structure has also been growing and evolving and as a result SLTEC is pleased to announce that Stephen York has recently been appointed as commercial manager. Mr York who has been with SLTEC for nine years – starting as a sales agronomist before spending several years as the national sales manager –will be providing leadership both in the field and throughout the sales process.

Wade Luke, who joined SLTEC in November 2020, has been appointed in the newly created horticultural lead role and key account manager in this space. Mr Luke is based in the Adelaide Hills and is also currently studying an MBA, enabling him to combine outstanding agronomic advice with sound business practice.

In a similar role, Scott Palmer has been appointed as the broadacre sector lead. Mr Palmer loves to focus on the adoption of new fertiliser technologies into row cropping and winter cereals. He also heads SLTEC marketing’s department along with being an integral part of the extensive R&D activities undertaken by SLTEC.

Another recent change is the addition of Laurence Cowley as a dedicated Tasmanian agronomist. It has been some years since SLTEC had an agronomist permanently on the ground in Tasmania and SLTEC is very excited to be able to help growers in Tasmania with their nutritional needs in a much more collaborative approach.

SLTEC also welcomes Greg Carbis to the team. Mr Carbis started in January and will be based in the western region of Victoria. Greg has an extensive background in agricultural sales and irrigation and SLTEC is excited to bring his experience to the western region.

SLTEC is also very proud to announce that the company recently received both the Overall Business of the Year Award and Excellence in Manufacturing Awards held by the Shire of Campaspe/Murray Shire Councils.

This was an outstanding achievement and provided some tangible acknowledgement for years of growth, manufacturing development and research along with building an exceptional team and culture.
