A pioneer in the animal performance and electric fencing space, Gallagher is launching a new range focused on measuring water tank performance and making it easy for Australians to stay on top of their most important resource.

Recognising a need in the market for a high-quality, flexible solution, Gallagher is launching not one, but two, water tank monitoring solutions, says Gallagher national key account lead Rod Johnson.

“Keeping an eye on water levels is an important task but can be time-consuming and difficult. Gallagher’s water monitoring solutions are designed to make measuring water tank performance as simple as it needs to be,” Mr Johnson said.

Common pain points when it comes to measuring water include unknown water availability, leading to unexpected shortages; hidden leaks in the water system; and the fact that water tanks are often in remote locations across a property, meaning they’re out of sight and difficult to keep an eye on. Insufficient water supply can have a devastating impact, both on land and on livestock, particularly come warmer weather.

Wireless Water Monitoring System Series 2

Mr Johnson said Gallagher’s Wireless Water Monitoring System takes the guesswork out of water levels, by delivering comprehensive information directly to the users’ phone.

“Alongside the Gallagher Water mobile app, you can view water usage, tank levels, and receive alerts on your phone when levels reach a certain level.

“This data can travel up to 10km across your property, talking between tanks and to your phone. The app also gives you the ability to remotely control your water pumps and set automatic run points based on tank levels.”

Satellite Water Monitoring System

Recognising that not every property is covered by consistent mobile reception, Mr Johnson said Gallagher’s Satellite Water Monitoring System provides a secure and reliable satellite connection and is ideal for properties where cellular or Wi-Fi reception is weak or unavailable. The easy-to-install design and 7+ year battery life makes it an easy-set and-forget way to measure water tank levels.

“The Satellite system sends an alert to your phone up to four times a day with up-to-date information on water tank levels, making it easy to monitor and ensure levels are where they need to be.

“The custom-built app can be used across multiple water tanks, so you can keep an eye on your entire property, regardless of how remote your water tanks are located.

“Whatever the connectivity level on your farm, whether you’re on a flat and vast farm or a hilly lifestyle block, Gallagher has a water tank monitoring solution to suit,” Mr Johnson said. “With custom-built apps for both products, accessing data and keeping an eye on your water is made easy.

“Gallagher’s Water Tank Monitoring systems are just another piece in the overall puzzle when it comes to optimising on-farm operations. Gallagher’s world-leading animal management solutions enable Australian farmers to operate responsibly, productively, and profitably.”
